ABOUT WEIMARANER
The history of the Weimaraner dog breed is long and shrouded in mystery. The Weimaraner breed originated in the coast of WEIMER in Germany. Grand Duke Carl was believed to be the one who introduced Weimaraner to the country. Although the reason why they opted to bring a flock-guarding dog is vague, they gradually developed the Weimaraner as a working dog, both on land and water. Weimaraner evolved with water-resistant double coats and webbed feet. These traits made them highly adaptable to working in various jobs. The Weimaraner’s build made it capable of hauling fishing nets and pulling carts filled with fish to the market. The breed’s most important job involves water rescues. These water dogs swam lifelines to victims of shipwrecks. Many many experts believe that the Weimaraner dog breed descended from the bloodhound and other breeds mixed Weimaraner’s were also believed to have descended from the bloodhound, Great Dane dogs and black retrievers. Others claim that the Weimaraner shares many physical traits with the St. Bernard and the English Mastiff with its stout legs, large heads, bull necks, and broad snouts. The first time the Weimaraner was shown This may have something to do with their history as a gentleman’s gun dog. They were designed to hunt all day long and come and live inside with their owners in the evenings, relaxing by the fire.
